The Miyar Mufflers refined collection has been handcrafted from shear-to-stitch by farmer-artisans using wool from their own sheep. When you buy a Miyar Muffler, you are not buying from a factory. You are choosing the work of skilled women in one of the most remote valleys of the Himalayas — and supporting a way of life that values craft, community, and the land itself.

Natural Colours
Our yarn uses only the natural hues of the sheep – black, brown, grey, and white.
The main body of each muffler, scarf, or throw features a unique combination of the colours, while the border has a contrasting colour adding a distinctive touch.
The individual variety of each piece depends on the mixture of natural colours in the carding and then in the spinning. It will also depend on the individual knitter’s preference.
Warmth
Because the Miyar Sheep live at high altitudes their wool is rich in lanoline, which gives our products exceptional warmth. Knitted in a textural moss stitch, the finished fabrics are particularly flexible and comfortable.
