Warmth:
Because the Miyar Sheep live at high altitudes their wool is rich in lanoline, which gives our products exceptional warmth. Knitted in a textural moss stitch, the finished fabrics are particularly flexible and comfortable.
Every finished piece is decorated by the knitter with a handmade pompom and a seed pod of the Oroxylum tree, as a Buddhist decorative token to our customers.
The large seed pods, called in Miyar “sampa mantok“, are brought from Riwalsar, the lake holy to Himalayan Buddhists.
